Dragon Ball Super introduced us to a lot of new characters and Saiyans. Therefore, we rank the 10 most powerful Saiyans in the Anime Series.

Since the Dragon Ball Series, Saiyans obtain new super Saiyan forms. Dragon Ball characters such as Goku and Vegeta keep pushing their limits to obtain new powers. Goku and Vegeta achieve forms even beyond the super Saiyan level. The numerous battles and training are the reason for that.

The series introduces us to the Tournament of Power. The strongest warriors from eight out of the twelve Universes are participating. Any team who loses in this tournament will have their Universe erased from existence. New Saiyans from Universe 6 also made their appearance in the tournament.

This list does not include Fusion characters and Saiyans from Dragon Ball Heroes. Dragon Ball Characters such as Goku Black, Cumber, and Kale are excluded from this list.

10. Goten

Goten is the youngest son of Goku and Bulma, introduced in the Dragon Ball Z Series. He resembles Goku in terms of appearance, kindness, and humble personality. Goten was able to become the youngest super Saiyan at age 7 without all the numerous battles and years of intense training.

The road to becoming a Super Saiyan was so different for Goku and Gohan when you compare it to Goten. However, being the youngest Super Saiyan ever is a big milestone. He is loved by many and he enjoys his childhood with his friend Trunks.

Goten is what they call a hybrid Saiyan. Theoretically speaking, Hybrids are stronger and smarter than normal Saiyans. Because of the combination of human genes mixed with the Saiyan genes. This is a reason for his great potential. Above all, having Goku as a father really helps. Goten is not as passionate as Goku to be a Saiyan warrior.

In other words, he just wants to be a child and play. Due to his powers, Goten was a potential candidate to join the Universe 7 team in the Tournament of Power. It is a likely possibility that Goten will continue his training and become stronger. Due to his potential, Goten can also become the youngest Super Saiyan 2 ever.

9. Kid Trunks

( Kid )Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma, introduced in Dragon Ball Z. Trunks is also a hybrid Saiyan. Because of the combination of human genes mixed with the Saiyan genes. For example. the human intuition, and skills of adaptation and general evolution. Vegeta stated that Gohan probably got the greatest dormant potential of all the warriors ( including him). Gohan is also a Saiyan hybrid.

Trunks achieved the Super Saiyan form much earlier than his father Vegeta. Kid Trunks is stronger than Goten, stated by Goten himself. Because Kid Trunks is older, he has the edge in power over Goten.

Kid Trunks has great potential, as he became Super Saiyan at age 8. Nonetheless, he never went through intense years of training and life/death battles. This is why Kid Trunks is an underrated warrior of the Saiyan race.

In terms of power, Trunks has not faced a scary power. But his early super Saiyan form and being the son of the mighty Vegeta helps his case. He is unable to become a Super Saiyan 2, unlike the other Saiyans on this list besides Goten.

8. Cabba

Cabba is a Saiyan from Universe 6 who lives on planet Salada and is the ace of the defense forces from his planet. The Dragon Ball Super manga introduces him in chapter 7. The Dragon Ball Super anime introduces Cabba in episode 32.

His hairstyle resembles that of Ultimate Gohan when he fought Buu. But not from a physical standpoint, because Caba is very small and thin. What made his first appearance so special was that Vegeta the all-time pride Saiyan saw Caba as a prodigy. Cabba even has the same stance as Vegeta and also uses the Gallick Gun.

Cabba becomes a super Saiyan during his fight with Vegeta. Saiyans become more powerful when emotional damage is done to them. In other words, the anger gives a power boost and is helpful when trying to transform into a Super Saiyan.

In the Tournament of Power, this happened again and Cabba obtained the Super Saiyan 2 form. He didn’t defeat very powerful opponents in the tournament. but it still allowed him to become a Super Saiyan 2. His desire to become stronger and having Vegeta as a mentor will surely help his growth.

7. Caulifla

Caulifla is a female Saiyan from universe 6, and the first female Super Saiyan in the Dragon Ball Series. . She is arrogant to anyone except Kale, her protégée. When Cabba tried to recruit her for the TOP, she wasn’t interested. However, when Cabba showed his Super Saiyan form, she suddenly became interested. Caulifla has more of a fighter spirit than Cabba and Kale.

In the Tournament of Power, Goku offers to be her mentor. As the tournament continues, Caulifla becomes stronger. In the Dragon Ball Super anime, she gets told by Goku that she might be able to become a Super Saiyan 3 in their fight. Caulifla can transform into a Super Saiyan 2 with ease but is astonished when seeing the power and appearance of Goku’s Super Saiyan 3 form.

She is a young and very powerful Saiyan, however, she was no match for Goku during their fight. Goku saw their fight more as a learning experience for Caulifla, rather than feeling threatened by her power. Even with the aid of Kale, a Super Saiyan God Goku wiped the floor with them. Nonetheless, when Goku says you possess power and potential, you better take his word.

6. Kale

Kale is a female Saiyan from Universe 6, also a member of Team Universe 6 in the Tournament of Power. She has a deep bond with Caulifla and they have a friend/sibling relationship. Due to her extreme power and potential, Kale is the strongest Saiyan in her universe.

Her Super Saiyan Berserker transformation is extraordinary. However, her base form is pretty weak and is nowhere near the other Saiyan’s base power level. She definitely is one of the strongest fighters in the TOP, when in Super Saiyan form.

Her Legendary Super Saiyan form caused Jiren to stop meditating. This is Jiren’s way of acknowledging a formidable fighter. Kale also took a full Super Saiyan Blue Kamehameha hit but took little damage from the attack. Even though Goku was holding back, it’s still very impressive.

When fighting against a weakened Goku, Kale was no match for the Super Saiyan 3 nor the Super Saiyan God transformation. However, her raw power and potential make her the strongest female fighter in the TOP.

5. Future Trunks

Future Trunks comes from another timeline, the danger of the androids is the cause of that. He is a Super Saiyan Hybrid and benefits from that. While training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Vegeta, Future Trunks achieves the level of Super Saiyan Second Grade.

This happened during the Cell Saga. In Dragon Ball Super, Future Trunks’ power is greatly increased thanks to training in the past. Being a Saiyan Hybrid surely helps with

During fights against Goku Black, Trunks achieved the new Super Saiyan Rage form. Similar to Gohan, Trunks achieved a new transformation outside of the Super Saiyan transformations. Trunk’s new power perhaps rivals that of the Super Saiyan 3.

By using the Sword of Hope against Merged Zamasu, Trunks cut the villain in half. Vegeta told Trunks that he’s proud that his son is now at such a great level of power. Even Goku states that Trunks is strong enough now to defeat any enemy that may come. Trunks returned to his own timeline after this saga, so we didn’t get to see him in the TOP.

4. Gohan

Gohan is also a half-breed Saiyan and one of the most prominent characters in the Dragon Ball Series. He is the youngest Super Saiyan 2 ever and possesses crazy potential and power. Being the strongest warrior at age 10, outclassing Goku and Vegeta. After that, Gohan unlocks his full potential during the Buu Saga. He obtained a new form that wasn’t a super Saiyan.

Ultimate Gohan was born and it is noted on Ultimate Gohan that during the Majin Buu conflict and Battle of Gods, Ultimate Gohan’s power surpassed that of Super Saiyan 3 Goku. However, Gohan loses his passion for fighting after the Cell Saga. and didn’t train for 7 years.

In Dragon Ball Super, Gohan begins to train again with Picollo to prepare for the TOP. They trained for only 9 hours and Gohan regained his Ultimate form again. After that, Gohan asks Goku for a serious sparring match. In this fight, Gohan overpowers Goku in Super Saiyan 2 form.

Even for a brief moment, the two fought on par when Gohan went full-power against Super Saiyan Blue Goku. In the TOP, his power exceeds Super Saiyan 3 Goku and comes close to the Super Saiyan God form.

3. Vegeta

The mighty Saiyan Vegeta, the prince of all Saiyans. His desire to keep growing stronger and surpassing his rival Goku is surreal. Vegeta is known for training alone. But even so, he still develops his way of mastering new transformations.

Vegeta’s goal is to surpass Goku and become the strongest warrior of all. When Beerus first showed up and fought both Goku and Vegeta, he stated that Vegeta was stronger than the other Saiyan he fought.

In Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta does master a form of his own called Super Saiyan Blue Evolution. This form is stronger and can be put to better use than Goku’s Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken form. With this transformation, Vegeta was able to defeat Toppo ( who has the power of a God of Destruction).

But Vegeta couldn’t defeat Jiren, who got overwhelmed by Goku’s Perfect Ultra Instinct form. During the Dragon Ball Super Broly Movie, both Goku nor Vegeta didn’t use their strongest transformation.

The power of 2 Super Saiyan Blue Saiyans wasn’t enough to beat Broly, as they needed to fuse into Gogeta to defeat him. However, it would be exciting to see what would’ve happened if Vegeta and Goku fought Broly while in their strongest forms.

2. Broly

Broly is easily one of the most powerful mortal warriors in the Dragon Ball Super multiverse, and one of the strongest in Universe 7. Broly’s power is a mix of extremely high genetic potential. This Legendary Super Saiyan is one of the strongest enemies Goku and co. have been up against up until this point. Also, his destructive power seems to be greater than a God of Destruction‘s.

In other words, this guy is insanely strong and possesses enormous power. Broly is a very likable character amongst Dragon Ball Super fans. He finally became a canon character after 25 years during the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie.

During his fight against Goku and Vegeta, Broly’s power kept increasing. To put his power into perspective, a Goku and Vegeta Blue weren’t enough to stop Broly. He grows stronger the more he fights, just like Goku.

His power exceeds that of a Super Saiyan Blue and beyond. Goku and Vegeta needed to use the fusion dance to transform into Gogeta. After that, the fight continues and Gogeta ultimately wins against Broly. However, his power comes close to Beerus and Jiren.

1. Goku

Goku becoming the strongest Saiyan of all doesn’t happen by accident. He wasn’t always the most powerful, but his hard work, determination, and persistence led the way for his growth. In addition to that, Goku was the first to achieve the Super Saiyan 1,2,3, God, and Blue transformation in the Dragon Ball Series.

One of his best abilities isn’t what you might think, it is not a Kamehameha. Goku has been faced with many tasks over the years, but always manages to overcome them all. And this is because as a Saiyan, he is a natural-born warrior. Whenever he is in a pinch, he finds a way out. Goku fights better when he is in an uncomfortable situation.

In the Tournament of Power, Goku unlocks a new power in Ultra Instinct and Mastered Ultra Instinct. Also,  Ultra Instinct Goku is over forty times stronger than his Super Saiyan Blue form. And his offensive power, which was enough to hurt SSJ2 Kefla and Jiren, is no pushover either.

The Gods of Destruction ( especially Beerus) were extremely shocked to see Goku master Ultra instinct. Because even the Gods of Destruction can’t use this technique. Therefore, Gokus power goes beyond the level of those gods.
