There are only 5 of them and each is capable of handling special-grade cursed spirits, being entrusted with valuable information, being trusted to go on dangerous missions, and receiving high salaries.

Within Jujutsu High School, ranks are beginning from Grade 4 up until Special Grade, which explains the power-scaling system of Jujutsu sorcerers and their strength. The ranking categorizes the overall powers of these sorcerers based on cursed energy, cursed technique, skills, experience, and combat abilities.

What are Grade-1 Sorcerers? Grade-1 sorcerers are those who level up the standards of what a sorcerer should aspire to be and are great examples to lead society. This grade is the highest rank a sorcerer can shoot for to achieve through the natural progression of all other ranks, including Special Ranks. This level of sorcerer far exceeds that of a Semi-Grade and below in terms of confidentiality entrusted to them, their powers, and the level of dangers the mission has that they have to fulfill.

5. Mei Mei

Mei Mei is a powerful grade-1 sorcerer from Tokyo Jujutsu High School who only works and fulfills missions when high payment is involved. She is considered a strong sorcerer by none other than Gojo Satoru himself. Mei Mei uses a battle axe as a cursed tool, and she believes her innate technique of controlling birds is useless.

Because of her innate technique, which works best from a long distance, Mei Mei trained herself to become a formidable taijutsu user. Mei Mei can defeat special-grade cursed spirits by using her cursed tool and her innate technique. In Shibuya, Mei Mei fought against the powerful special grade cursed spirit Smallpox Deity and won.

She uses the Black Bird Manipulation technique, which allows her to imbue cursed energy into her crows and have control over them at will. Her technique can control numerous crows at once, even effective from a great distance.

To further improve this ability, Mei Mei uses a binding vow that enables the crows to fly at a high speed toward an enemy with high quantities of power cursed energy, and commit suicide. The damage from being hit by one of these birds can eliminate special-grade cursed spirits.

4. Atsuya Kusakabe

Atsuya Kusakabe is the strongest grade-1 sorcerer according to Gojo Satoru, Mei Mei, and Nanami in terms of strategic plans. explaining situations, and has the best brain of a sorcerer. He teaches second-year students at Tokyo Jujutsu High and when in battle, he is exceptional at staying out of dangerous situations. Kusakabe uses a katana covered in cursed energy to slash cursed spirits, all without a strong cursed technique or innate technique.

He is the master of Nen Shadow Style, which is a fighting style that needs a Simple Domain to work, where you then release your cursed energy stored from your weapon to attack.

Secondly, Kusakabe’s Batto Sword Drawing technique is the fastest sword drawing technique in Jujutsu Kaisen, this improves his sword drawing speed to quickly slice his opponents. He even put up a great fight against Ryomen Sukuna and lived, whereas other sorcerers cannot say the same thing.

3. Nanami Kento

Nanami Kento is a former student of Tokyo Jujutsu High during the same time period as Geto Suguru and Gojo Satoru. He became a salaryman after graduating but returned as a jujutsu sorcerer four years later, rising to rank Grade-1 sorcerer. His stoic personality leads him to overthink every situation and solve problems, making proper decisions. Nanami became a close mentor for Itadori Yuji, even teaching him about the Black Flash.

When Nanami fights, he uses a sword that he infuses with cursed energy to activate his cursed technique. This allows him to cut through cursed energy and cursed spirits.

He uses the ability Ratio Technique: this grants Nanami the ability to separate his target with thin lines and by force, create a weak spot at the 7:3 ratio. Secondly, it increases the impact of his punches and slashes, which are capable of killing special-grade cursed spirits.

Nanami was the previous record holder for most consecutive uses of Black Flash, with four times in a row. In addition, Nanami’s cursed energy manipulation is one of the best there is, using it to increase the power of his attacks and to harden his body like a wall.

2. Aoi Todo

Aoi Todo is a third-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High School and is the only student in grade 1.

His mentor was none other than special-grade sorcerer Yuki Tsukumo, who shaped him into a powerful sorcerer. Todo is capable of defeating multiple special grade and grade-1 cursed spirits, all by himself. His high physical strength and speed match that of his best friend Itadori Yuji, but Todo also has an incredibly high IQ and much more fight experience.

His fighting style shines the most during close-range combat, but when fighting against a zone-type sorcerer or spirit, Todo can use his innate technique to safely shorten the distance. Aoi Todo uses Boogie Woogie: this allows him to swap positions with anything or anyone with cursed energy simply by clapping his hands.

We saw how effective this technique was during his fight against Mahito in Shibuya, against Megumi, and Hanami. Aoi Todo can also effectively use cursed tools like Playful Cloud, can land Black Flashes, and he can activate a Simple Domain, which is an anti-domain technique that cancels the sure-hit effect of a domain expansion within its place by counteracting its barrier

1. Masamichi Yaga

Masamichi Yaga was the second-year teacher of Geto Suguru, Gojo Satoru, and Shoko Ieiri before becoming the principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High. He is the cursed corpse user who created Panda and the strongest sorcerer capable of puppet jujutsu.

This is a technique where the user creates cursed corpses and infuses them with cursed energy to bring these objects to life and have control over them with an incantation. Besides this ability, Masamichi excels at close-range fighting and is capable of defeating curses by himself.
